FINALLY! EPD is DONE with my IA investgation!

For those of you that do not know, this letter is in reaction to my 4-7-09 detainment by Escondido Police Department.

Preliminary report:

Nathan,

I just received your complaint back from our police Admin. I am putting an official (form) letter in the mail first thing tomorrow AM. But I wanted to let you know that I found that our officers needed additional training (similar to your El Cajon incident.)

They have received the training and hopefully any further contacts will be shorter and smoother.

My only disclaimer is, all police contacts are unique and fact specific, so there may be additional circumstances that could prolong a detention past the 12031 check.

But if that happens, make sure to let me know and I will look into what happened.

Sincerely,
xxxxxxx

I will post up the letter as soon as I receive it.

CARRY ON!

Hey Nate! Loved the article man and I've watched several of the vids with you and your brother posted on YouTube. I think you guys are doing a great job and I'm not sure I agree with those who say the OC folks should cut it out and keep a lower profile.

I am concerned about the suggestion to have $10K at the ready for a defense attorney though. I just don't have that sitting around and am disappointed that I shouldn't try OC without having that sort of dough to spend. Do you suppose you guys will hold another OC event anytime soon. I'd love to participate and there probably is some "safety in numbers" at something like that.

Also, silly question but I live in Lemon Grove. Is OC legal there as well. I'm assuming so because it's statewide correct? What are interactions with the Sheriff's Department like generally? Thanks for fighting the good fight!!
